I've been working on giving my mini Josefina a "makeover" to look more like the old-style dolls (with a wig and inset eyes). Today I received the wig and eyes. The wig is great and will work really well for Josefina...I really like it, and it's so full and durable compared to the rooted hair she had (the whole middle section I was able to rip out just with a slight tug!).

Now the bad news. I opened up the eyes and, lo and behold, they are about twice as big as what I needed! They won't even fit through Josefina's neck opening and she would look like she had a serious eye disorder if I put them in.

Poor Josefina!

I'm thinking I could make some eyes out of Sculpey and then varnish them, but I've also e-mailed the company to see if their exchange policy is good. In the meantime, Josefina looks about like this as far as her hair and eyes are concerned: [img]eek.gif[/img]

I guess I kind of had too high of expectations/ambitions with this one. (And no, I don't mind if it gives you a laugh. [img]biggrin.gif[/img] )
